$125 for four sessions.*

This four-session series is a hands-on poetry workshop that emphasizes word play and free exercise of the imaginative mind – as a means to jumpstart the creative moment. Whereas other workshops focus on revision and fine polishing of poetry in draft form, this workshop is designed to help participants more readily 'trigger' ideas for poems, and to set free the first generative flow of ideas and phrases that will ultimately result in a finished poem.

George Wallace, first Poet laureate of Suffolk Count, is the author of sixteen chapbooks published in the US, UK, and Italy.Winner of the CW Post Poetry Prize, Wallace is the editor of poetrybay. com and poetryvlog. com. An author whose work has been translated into French, Spanish, Italian, German, Korean, Bengali, Russian, and Macedonian, he has traveled extensively to perform his work and to teach poetry workshops. He hosts monthly poetry readings at The Bowery Poetry Club, NYC and The Poetry Café at The Conklin Barn, Huntington.
