The first annual Hobart Book Expo will be held this year in the Hobart Book Village. Of the approximately 35 Book Towns worldwide, Hobart is one of few in the USA, and the only one east of the Mississippi, and is located in the historic Western Catskills. Join us for a weekend of getting to know authors and publishers.

Have you ever wondered if you have what it takes to be an author yourself? Come talk to the experts, from authors that have just published their first book, to ones that have learned how to make a living at writing books.

A series of lectures and a panel discussion will be held during the two days.

Maybe you just want to start collecting books that are signed by authors? What better place to start than to talk to the author personally?

Or you would like to have that dusty old tome you found in your attic appraised? Free appraisals will be one feature of the weekend.

While spending the weekend with us, explore the Book Village Trail, that adds three more book stores to the ones that we already have in the Village - Bibliobarn in South Kortright, Steinway Books and the Delaware County Historical Association in Delhi.

To participate in the event, as an author or small press, please e-mail hobartbookvillage@gmail.com or call 607.538.9222.
