Prosperous in our ignorance,
ignorant in our

the laws of nature
rain down upon us
in our stylish
waxed cotton
designer raincoats.

The hottest summer on record
and we're cooling our drinks
with chunks of ice
broken off from the
polar ice cap as it floats by
the kitchen window.
