The Autobiography of William Carlos Williams.
Join us to learn more about Rutherford's famous doctor-poet.
On Wednesday, October 1, 2008 at 7 PM, a panel of experts will help us learn more about the life of William Carlos Williams.
Panelists:
Borough Historian Rod Leith on "William Carlos Williams' Rutherford"
Writer and poet Joel Lewis on "WCW & Official Verse Culture"
Professor and poet Bob Quatrone on "The Hidden Poetry in The Autobiograpy of William Carlos Williams"
Panel presentations will be followed by audience discussion and Q&A moderated by Library Directors Jane Fisher (Rutherford) and John J. Trause (Wood-Ridge).
And, start your holiday shopping early! Book sale tables will be set up with signed books by authors and scholars recently featured at the WCW Symposium, including some out-of-print titles. Local poets and writers, including members of Rutherford's own Red Wheelbarrow Poets, will also be on hand to sign their books.
This is a free program and all are welcome.
Refreshments will follow the presentation.
